System Requirements for Revenue Acceleration

BillQ, PayQ and DataQ AI are cloud-native applications that run on the Zebraworks platform in Azure and are reached through a browser. Where they integrate with a SQL-based financial management system, the Zebraworks Bridge moves data securely between your firewall and the platform.

Cloud-native applications

Applies to: BillQ, PayQ, DataQ AI

These applications are built on the Zebraworks platform and deployed in Azure. They are accessed through any modern browser. We recommend Single Sign On (SSO) to eliminate the need to maintain additional authentication information.

Chrome, Edge and Safari.

Supported devices

Zebraworks is a responsive web application designed for computers and tablets. It has more limited functionality on smartphones.

Architecture

Multi-tenant architecture with a single-tenant database for each firm.

Identity provider

Sign-on is via your existing access control system. Zebraworks uses Auth0 to authenticate with your identity provider of choice, including Active Directory, Azure AD, ADFS, LDAP, SAML and others.

Security

• All information in transit is encrypted by SSL
• Data at rest is encrypted with runtime generated cycled keys

Zebraworks Bridge

The Zebraworks Bridge securely connects the Zebraworks platform running in Azure to systems inside your firewall or virtual private cloud.

Security, all Bridge deployments

All incoming traffic is validated using Auth0 and only valid https connections are accepted. The firm's firewall will need to be configured to accept incoming connections only from the Zebraworks platform egress IP.

• SSL TLS 1.2 or greater with a trusted certificate on a public domain is required
• All information in transit is encrypted over TLS
• The Zebraworks Bridge Admin UI is only accessible to the localhost

Bridge for financial system integration

Applies to: BillQ, PayQ, DataQ AI

When integrating with a SQL-based financial management system (FMS), the Bridge runs where it can connect to the database server. It manages communication between the Zebraworks platform in Azure and the practice management system inside the firm's firewall or virtual private cloud. The sync interval is configurable, with a default of every 15 minutes, and may be set longer in large firms with a high volume of transactions.

• 2 CPU cores (2.6GHz or faster), 4GB RAM
• 100GB or more for the application
• 1GB connectivity
• .NET 10 runtime
• Trusted access to the Zebraworks IP address
• Network communication access to the FMS SQL database server

How the integration works

• The Bridge uses Microsoft ETL tools to synchronize SQL-based systems
• By leveraging built-in MS SQL and Azure capabilities, the integration is lightweight, highly reliable and resilient
• In the event of SQL database downtime, the Bridge employs fault-tolerant synchronization with automatic retries and recovery, ensuring data integrity and minimizing disruption once the database is back online
